The 12th annual Wayne State University Organization of Black Alumni Achievement (OBA) Awards Banquet is noted in a "What's Coming Up" brief. The event, held on Wednesday at the Seldom Blues in Detroit , honored Viola Liuzzo, a Detroiter who became the nation's first white woman and civil rights martyr. A portion of the program's proceeds will benefit OBA's scholarship program.
